Wall Candy Creation Fund Raising

I feel very blessed to be able to do what I am doing and in return would like to give a little back to programs that I believe in.

One such program is a non-profit organization that was borne from the ever so unfortunate death of my husband’s cousin Jacob Fletcher.

Jacob was with the 173rd Airborne Brigade and was one of the 1,000 paratroopers to make the historic jump into Iraq on March 26th 2003. He jumped into Northern Iraq and was met by the Kurds who joined with the 173rd as they went to Kirkuk. They patrolled, trained Iraqi police officers and went on many dangerous missions.

Jacob was killed when a roadside bomb exploded the bus he was on November 13th, 2003 on Highway 1 in Samarra.

Jacob's Light Foundation

Jacob’s Light foundation was created by Jacob’s Mom, our wonderful Auntie Dorine, and its mission is to send to military men and women, stationed overseas, any comforts of home that may make their tour of duty a little more comfortable. Letters of support from home, favorite snacks and toiletries and special holiday items are sent in care packages in hopes of warming their hearts and keeping Jacob’s purpose alive.

1$ from every letter sold will be donated to Jacob’s Light foundation in honor of our beloved cousin Jacob Fletcher.
Please visit www.jacobsprogram.org if you would like to learn more, or to make a separate donation.

I am honored to be asked to donate to various fundraising events. One such event is “A Sweet Chair–ity Affair and Auction”, where chairs of all sorts are being decorated by local artists, celebrities and politicians and then being auctioned off with proceeds being donated to benefit the Cancer Research Society. I am donating a Wall Candy Creations Crossword puzzle in the shape of a chair valued at $300. Please see my Events Calendar for details.
